Our home has been getting a new lick of paint this week with a little help from a handy resident.
When Harry Hattermore experienced a stroke that left him unable to walk or eat solid food, he thought his life was over, but, thanks to his perseverance, the love of his family and the caring approach of the team at Care UK’s Little Holland Hall, he now has a new lease of life.

A new Department of Health campaign is urging people to look out for signs of dementia when they visit relatives, particularly over the Christmas holiday season.
The dedication, commitment and outstanding efforts of Care UK’s staff in care homes across the country were acknowledged this week at the 2011 National Dementia Care Awards. Nominated in five of the 12 categories, Care UK came away with three awards that recognise outstanding service in caring for people with dementia. The winners were announced at a ceremony held as part of the UK Dementia Congress in Liverpool.
